Underwater photography involves facing certain challenges that do not exist on land, but, thanks to SSI's Photo & Video specialty program. You will develop the necessary skills and techniques to take pictures and record videos underwater safely and comfortably; Plus, you'll hone your diving skills while using your underwater camera.

In addition to the main orienteering techniques and basic orienteering patterns, you will learn how to use a compass, how to calculate distance, and how to leave and return to a particular point. You will also learn to combine different orienteering techniques to enhance your diving experience.

The ocean is teeming with dive sites, but many of the best sites can only be accessed by boat. As a Boat Diver, you will have the opportunity to explore diving sites where you can enjoy pelagic banks and marine megafauna that you will not find near the coast.

Learn all the techniques and knowledge necessary to dive safely and comfortably with a dry suit. You will learn to use specialized equipment, such as dry suits and buoyancy compensators, you will learn about their main advantages and you will learn to act correctly in emergencies specific to this type of diving.

Required for completion of most SSI Professional programs and also for some Extended Range programs, this endorsement is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of diving. As a Nitrox Diver, you'll be able to increase your bottom times and safety margins, as well as reduce surface intervals, so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting. In this program you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge. In addition, you will learn to plan and dive safely with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will be certified as Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% SSI.

With SSI's Diver Stress & Rescue Specialty Program, you'll learn the skills necessary to protect yourself and your companions.
